I used video to capture the energy and experience at Westminster University’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day March. By documenting events, I provide a way to share stories with others and help them engage with their community.
Using my mirrorIess camera, I took a range of videos with a shot list of the speakers, performers, audience’s reactions, and march. I recorded compelling audio of the march’s chanting and audience reactions with a shock microphone.
From the my recorded footage, two videos were produced by another The Forum editor and published on Instagram and YouTube. The videos received an average of 317 impressions on social media. That equates to 63% of The Forum’s Instagram following.
